Missions
Unity Baptist Church is a mission minded congregation. We believe that the church's commission is to reach the entire world with the gospel. Because everyone cannot go themselves, we provide the opportunity to our people to help send others who have that specific call upon their lives. We are always looking for committed missionary families that we can join hands with in helping to fulfill the Great Commission.
As a part of our missions outreach locally we support the ministry of SALT AND LIGHT – which provides food and clothing to those in need in our area.
We also support OPEN HEART PRISON MINISTRY, which ministers to women's prisons in the State of Illinois.
Other Ministry Opportunities
+ Awana Clubs – Our Awana Clubs meet each Wednesday night (September – April) from 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. Our clubs consist of Cubbies, Sparks, and TNT. These clubs are staffed by volunteers from Unity Baptist Church.
+ Bible Studies – We have Bible studies for various groups in our church throughout the year. Men's, women's, and College Bible Studies seek to clearly instruct our people in the principles of God's Word.
+ Choir – Our choir meets each Sunday afternoon from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., leading the congregation in worship, and providing special music each Sunday.
+ Mighty Men – The "Mighty Men" of Unity are a fellowship, Bible Study, and discipleship group that seeks to train our men in godly principles in a small group format.
+ Outreach – The "Great Commission" is at the heart of the church's purpose in the world. We provide opportunities to reach the world with the gospel through training courses in evangelism; Servant Evangelism; as well as regular outreach nights at the church, visiting those who have honored us by visiting our church.
