On Sunday, June 3rd, at 4:30 p.m., the women of Unity Baptist Church will be hosting a Ladies Spring Dinner. All ladies in our community are invited to attend which will take place at Unity Baptist Church. The cost is $10 per person to attend. Unity Baptist Men’s Cup Golf Outing

On Saturday, May 12th, the men of Unity Baptist Church will be having a golf outing at Lake of the Woods Golf Course. We will be playing best ball which will help everyone to have a great time regardless of their golf skills. MAYDAY 3on3 Basketball Tournament

Unity Baptist Church is proud to host the 3rd Annual MAYDAY 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on May 26, 2012. MAYDAY 3-on-3 is a basketball tournament for teens in the greater Champaign-Urbana area. To compete, you must be in the 6th-12th grade and have a team of at least 2 other players by May 26, 2012. The entry fee is $5, and it must be turned in with your registration form at least a week before the tournament. The Truth Project Has Begun

This week we started The Truth Project Bible Study Series with our church on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8pm. It’s not to late to be involved in this study! If you would like to have some help building a Biblical Worldview, please join us on Wednesday nights here at the church. We will begin to develop a Biblical worldview on subjects like truth, theology, politics, science, the arts, and everything in between. This study would be beneficial for any and every believer. We would love for you to join us!

Baby Dedication Day

This special Sunday is an opportunity for all new parents or parents of children that have not yet been dedicated to the Lord publicly, to say, before the church body, that they will raise their children in a way that honors and glorifies the Lord and “train them up in the way they should go” (Proverbs 22:6). This is also a wonderful opportunity for our church family to commit to pray for these parents as they raise their children in a God honoring way. If you would like to be a part of this ceremony by dedicating a child, please see Pastor Brady.

AWANA Awards Ceremony

Backyard Bible Clubs

There is an opportunity to serve the Lord this summer with Backyard Bible Clubs. These clubs will be led by Bill Denny, who has attended UBC in recent months. Bill has led these clubs for many years, and is looking for some people to help him during the summer. The club meets once a week for about 1-1 1/2 hours, beginning in June. The kids play games, have a snack, and a Bible lesson taught by Bill. If you would be interested in helping out, or in finding out more about it, please contact Pastor Brady, and he will get you in touch with Bill.

Church League Softball to Begin in April

It’s that time of year again! Church League Softball will begin in mid-April. We don’t have many details right now, but we are starting to sign up those that would like to play this year. If you’d be interested in playing on our team (co-rec), please do so as quickly as possible so we’ll be able to take care of the paper work with the Park District.
