MAYDAY 3on3 Basketball Tournament

Unity Baptist Church is proud to host the 3rd Annual MAYDAY 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on May 26, 2012. MAYDAY 3-on-3 is a basketball tournament for teens in the greater Champaign-Urbana area. To compete, you must be in the 6th-12th grade and have a team of at least 2 other players by May 26, 2012. The entry fee is $5, and it must be turned in with your registration form at least a week before the tournament. Baby Dedication Day

This special Sunday is an opportunity for all new parents or parents of children that have not yet been dedicated to the Lord publicly, to say, before the church body, that they will raise their children in a way that honors and glorifies the Lord and “train them up in the way they should go” (Proverbs 22:6). This is also a wonderful opportunity for our church family to commit to pray for these parents as they raise their children in a God honoring way. OIC Banquet

AWANA Awards Ceremony

Backyard Bible Clubs
There is an opportunity to serve the Lord this summer with Backyard Bible Clubs. These clubs will be led by Bill Denny, who has attended UBC in recent months. Bill has led these clubs for many years, and is looking for some people to help him during the summer. The club meets once a week for about 1-1 1/2 hours, beginning in June. The kids play games, have a snack, and a Bible lesson taught by Bill. If you would be interested in helping out, or in finding out more about it, please contact Pastor Brady, and he will get you in touch with Bill.
Church League Softball to Begin in April
It’s that time of year again! Church League Softball will begin in mid-April. We don’t have many details right now, but we are starting to sign up those that would like to play this year. If you’d be interested in playing on our team (co-rec), please do so as quickly as possible so we’ll be able to take care of the paper work with the Park District. Teen Summer Camp

Location: Northland Camp and Conference Center, Dunbar, WI
The teens at Unity Baptist Church are heading to Northland Camp & Conference Center this year for Summer Camp. We will be heading to Northland Camp on July 9-14. If you are wanting to go to camp with us this year, you need to turn in your registration form to Pastor Dan along with a $30 check made out to Northland Mission, Inc. Your registration form must be turned in ASAP in order to receive the early bird discount. So get those registrations filled out, signed by the parents, and turned in with your registration fee!
If you’re still wondering about how to pay for camp this year, remember that you can earn money towards camp as a teenager by earning points at Unite youth group and the Exchange. Earn enough points and you could earn a full scholarship to camp! Here are a list of ways you can earn points:

- Come to the Exchange.
- Read your Bible Every Day.
- Complete UNITE homework.
- Complete Exchange homework.
- Come to Monthly Teen Activity.
- Bring a Friend to anything.
