We will be playing best ball which will help everyone to have a great time regardless of their golf skills. This week we started The Truth Project Bible Study Series with our church on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8pm. It’s not to late to be involved in this study! If you would like to have some help building a Biblical Worldview, please join us on Wednesday nights here at the church. We will begin to develop a Biblical worldview on subjects like truth, theology, politics, science, the arts, and everything in between. This study would be beneficial for any and every believer. We would love for you to join us!

This Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we rejoice in the hope that He has given us through His grace and power. Please use this day as another opportunity to invite your friends and family to hear the gospel and to worship the Lord with us!
It’s that time of year again! Church League Softball will begin in mid-April. We don’t have many details right now, but we are starting to sign up those that would like to play this year. If you’d be interested in playing on our team (co-rec), please do so as quickly as possible so we’ll be able to take care of the paper work with the Park District. On Friday, November 11th, from 6-8pm, the Young Adult and College & Career Sunday school classes will be having a fall activity at the home of David and Melissa Jones. We’ll be having a western-themed party complete with chili and dogs around the campfire! If you are interested, please contact us at the church.
One of the ministries we provide for our men (College and above) is called “Mighty Men,” after the small group of men who stood with David for the sake of the kingdom. Right now, we have 3 “Mighty Men” Groups that meet. If you would like to join up with one, here’s the information:
Pastor Brady’s M.M. Group – We’ll be starting this group back up, beginning on Tuesday, September 20 – November 15th, from 6-8 p.m. We will be doing a 9 week study in Dr. David Platt’s book entitled “Radical.” The cost for this study is yet to be determined. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby our men need to sign if they plan to join us for this study. Please contact the church office with any questions or email Pastor Brady by clicking here. Ed McCammack’s M.M. Group – Ed leads this group of men each Thursday evening at 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in his home at 2923 Stone Creek Blvd. in Urbana. At this time they are doing a study of Biblical teaching concerning the home. Pastor Dan’s M.M. Group – Pastor Dan will be leading a new Mighty Men group which will starting in the fall. This group will be meeting each Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. We will be studying The Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent Hughes. You are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. as we pray for the needs of our church family, our community, and our nation. The Lord has gifted us with the ability to go to Him directly with our requests, and we count it a blessing to be able to do so with you each week! Please join us this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary for a time of fellowship through prayer.
We want to say a big Thank You to this year’s softball team for a wonderful season. We lost our 2nd round tournament game last night to Temple Baptist to finish out the season. We finished the year with some wins and some losses, but we also built some great relationships with our teammates and other churches in our league. Overall, we had an uplifting and encouraging softball season which ended up with all of us having a lot of fun together. We had a great season this year and look forward to next year! Thanks to those of you who came out and cheered us on! We’ll see ya next year!
