About Unity Baptist Church

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of Unity Baptist Church is to EXALT the name of Christ by EVANGELIZING the world; ESTABLISHING the church body in the Word of God; and EQUIPPING the saints to do the work of the ministry.

What We Believe

+ The Scriptures – We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, without error; that it is God’s revelation to man of Himself, His love, and His redemption. (II Timothy 3:15; Revelation 22:18-19)

+ The Virgin Birth – We believe that Christ was born miraculously of the virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:18)

+ The Trinity – We believe that there is one God, and that the Godhead consists of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (II Corinthians 13:14)

+ The Deity of Christ – We believe that Jesus Christ was fully God, and fully man, that in Him dwelt “all the fullness of the godhead bodily”. (Colossians 2:9)

+ The Substitutionary Death of Christ – We believe that Christ’s suffering and death were the complete and full payment for sin, accepted by God the Father, and efficacious in bringing forgiveness to those who will appropriate it by faith. (I Peter 2:24)

+ The Power of Christ’s Blood – We believe that Christ’s blood has the power to justify, redeem, draw us near to God, make peace for us with God, and cleanse us from all sin. Many Scriptures in the New Testament proclaim this truth. (Ephesians 1:7)

+ Christ’s Bodily Resurrection – We believe that three days after His death and burial, Jesus Christ literally, and bodily, arose from the grave. (I Corinthians 15:3-4)

+ Christ’s Present Work in Heaven – We believe that 40 days after His resur-rection, Christ ascended into heaven, where He is now seated on the right hand of His Father, making intercession for us before Him. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

+ Christ’s Return to Earth – We believe that Christ will one day return to the earth bodily. First to receive His church in the air at the rapture, and seven years later, to return physically to the earth to establish His Kingdom. (Acts 1:11)

+ The Sinfulness of Man – We believe that man is by nature, and by choice, sinful. That sin separates man from God, making our redemption necessary. (Romans 3:23)

+ The Means of Salvation – We believe that salvation is offered to us as the unmerited favor of God, and by faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

+ The Effect of Redemption – We believe that salvation is transforming in the life of the person who receives it (II Corinthians 5:17). We believe that we are saved for the purpose of bringing glory to God by the lives that we live, and the service that we render to Him. (Ephesians 1:7, 12, 14)
