Softball Season Is Approaching – We Want You!

For those that are interested, you can sign up at the church to play on our softball team this year. The season will start on Monday, April 15, 2013, with a partial schedule, and then a full slate of games on April 22. We will play 10 games with one bye week during the season. There will be no games on Memorial Day (May 27th), and the regular season will end on July 8. The tournament will be on July 15, 22, and 29. If you would like to join the team this year, please contact the church!

Cottage Prayer Meetings

Our new prayer ministry started this month, and we would like you to consider being a part of it! We have four families that have opened their homes once a month in March, April, and May for Cottage Prayer Meetings.  A Cottage Prayer Meeting is a time set aside for a small group of God’s people to gather in a host home for the purpose of praying for the specific needs of the church’s ministry. We would love for you to join us for one of these Prayer Meetings to pray together for our church family and ministry. If you are interested in being a part of this new ministry, here are the times and places:

David & Melissa Jones’ Home: 2nd Friday of each month at 6:30pm

John & Torri Ferguson’s Home: 3rd Monday of each month at 6pm

Ed & Martha Kennedy’s Home: 3rd Saturday of each month at 6:30pm

Donna Bundy’s Home: 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6pm

Join Us at Unity for Easter Sunday!

Date: Sunday, March 31, 2013
Time: 10:15 am
Location: Unity Baptist Church

The Easter Story has rightly been called The Greatest Story Ever Told and we’re going to tell it on Sunday, March 31! It’s an old story. One you may have heard before. God came down in human form for the sake of his creation. He went by the name of Jesus. He lived among us and died for us. He then rose from the dead. And 2,000 years later, churches still sprout up around the world, following his teachings. It’s miraculous. It’s why our church is here now. But could something so incredible be true? Why don’t you visit our church and explore this story – a story that has shaped the history of the world – and shapes our lives now. We are going to proclaim it from the Scriptures, in song, in testimony, and in Communion on March 31st at 10:15 a.m. It’s going to be a wonderful day worshiping the Lord! We hope that you will plan to join us.
